Our Next Service

The song “This Old House” was at the top of the charts in 1954.  I first heard it on every baby boomer’s most hated television show of the 1950’s: The Lawrence Welk Show.  An old man at the end of his life is content to quit maintenance on his house.  It is at once humorous, morbid and spiritual.  The sermon is about various dwellings: our homes, our bodies, our church buildings, and the difference between ownership and stewardship.

Worship Guild: Linda Santlofer, Larry Schwabacher. Greeters: Patricia Murphy, Stanton Waddell.   Music: Dr. Carolyn Clark and Choir. Hospitality: Sue Flynn.
