Sunday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m. Zombie Fest, One Night Film Festival

Zombie Fest, a one night film festival of cult, classic, and hilarious satire will open its doors at 6:30 PM on Sunday, October 7 in the Fellowship Hall of the UCSI.

Films include:

The 1986 romp “Evil Dead II” (1986, unrated) by director Sam Raimi (“Spiderman III”) and Juan Of The Dead” (“Juan de Los Muertos 2011”, unrated), a recent tongue-in-cheek import by Cuban Director Alejandro Bruges. Touted as “Cuba’s first horror movie”, it is in Spanish w/subtitles

Please Note:

Both films are unrated but, due to the content, these are NOT recommended for children under 9 years old. Parental Guidance is always suggested.

A zombie costume contest will be held at 8:45 PM
Audience members are encouraged to dress as zombies themselves, but to refrain from eating others in the auditorium.

The schedule as follows:

6:30 PM – Doors and Concessions open with assorted zombies.
7:00 PM – “Evil Dead II” (80 minutes)
8:45 PM – Contest for the Best Audience Zombie Costume
9:00 PM – “Juan of the Dead” (96 minutes, in Spanish w/subtitles)

In addition to the films a cast of creeps will be on hand to greet you, sell popcorn, and may walk you home. We do recommend that you DO NOT let them.

Doors close: 11:15 PM
Admission: $12 for the double feature

Proceeds for this event benefits the UCSI Religious Education Program
